Web Developer – Contract Position

Job Summary
APD Printing is a seeking an energetic, highly motivated, innovative, and self disciplined Web Developer to join our web team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented developer to be a key contributor working on our online web design, customer usability, and overall web presence for APD Printing, including www.apdprinting.com . The candidate will be involved in all web based projects associated with the company’s online presence, e-commerce, online forms, and other web-based applications.

Requirements
At least 5 years of professional web development experience.
Intermediate to expert knowledge of PHP (version 5).
Experience with MYSQL and SQL Server.
Ability to write SQL statements for data retrievals and database management.
A strong understanding of and the ability to hand-code HTML, Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), and JavaScript.
Experience using web services.
Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
A feel for good design -- both in terms of engineering and user experience.
Experience with a CVS (sandbox) development environment.
Experience writing plug-ins/modules (for any system).
Handy with regexes.
Experience with ASP and PERL.
Experience with Ajax.
Excellent analytical skills.
Knowledge of internet advertising, e-mail marketing, traffic metrics, or affiliate advertising.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and proficiently and react quickly to shifting priorities.
Knowledge of current and emerging internet trends and technologies like blogs, wiki, podcasts, and Web 2.0.
Knowledge of XML, RSS, and Ajax.
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organized design flow skills.
Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
